A lovely chiropractor in Beverly Hills agreed to meet with me to discuss issues I have been having with my second pregnancy. My first child was a delightful experience. I experience no morning sickness, little weight gain, and very little discomfort. In fact, all of my friends marveled at how lucky I had it with the first child. Most people couldn’t even tell I was pregnant until very late into the pregnancy. With that experience, I expected the second child to be a piece of cake. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I had all the problems associated with pregnancy and then some.
Aside from the constant morning sickness, which really wore me down, I gained an enormous amount of weight. I’m not going to get into actual figures, but it was a lot of weight gain and it came on very fast. Continue reading “Safe Way to Avoid Pregnancy Pain”
I have been going up to this place for a couple of years now. Originally I found out about it when I was laid up pretty bad from a car accident and I ended up having to see this chiropractor in Sacramento after the doctors could not really fix my back. At least there was not much that they could do without making things worse. You just do not want to take any of the chances in this life that you can avoid. You definitely do not want a guy with a knife to go messing around in your back if you have a less dramatic option. At any rate I had to see the guy several times and he told me that he owned some rental properties, the idea being that he would go skiing when he wanted and he would go to the beach when his wife and kids wanted to. A visit to a chiropractor in San Rafael turned up more health issues than I thought it would after I went in for what I thought would be a routine look at an elbow that had been bothering me. I play softball on the weekends as part of a work league and figured I’d hurt my elbow sliding into home plate. Maybe I swung the bat incorrectly. Whatever the case, my elbow hurt and I decided to go in and get everything checked out. I went to the chiropractor because I’d been there before for some foot problems.
Chiropractors have really upped their game in recent years. It used to be you’d go in with whiplash after an auto accident or for back problems due to an old sports injury incurred during the high school years, but now they’re involved in many other things like massages and nutritional stuff. I was surprised when I sat down and they asked me a slew of questions about my overall health. I liked it, and we soon found out that I needed to be taking some vitamin supplements because I likely had a deficiency in magnesium and vitamin D.
Why is this important? Magnesium deficiencies can cause muscles spasms and general body pain. A deficiency in vitamin D can cause a lot of more serious problems. Depression is often linked to a deficiency in that vitamin. The chiropractor looked at my arm and said it should improve if I just took it easy and didn’t move it much for a few days. His advice about vitamins turned out to be even better because my mood improved greatly after I started taking the supplements. It’s amazing how a single visit to the chiropractor has improved my overall sense of well being. I can’t say that about visiting my medical doctor, that’s for sure.
I started golfing with some friends a while back, and I loved it. I’ve always found the sport of golf to be boring to watch on television, but playing it is a different matter. The feeling of driving a ball a long distance and having it land perfectly on the green is great. I had to stop playing golf for a while because I injured myself. While in the middle of a game, I swung the club as hard as I could, and pulled a muscle in my back. I went to a Santa Rosa chiropractor in the middle of the game because there was no way I could finish it.
The chiropractor told me that my injury is a common one among golfers and that I should be able to get back on the green in a short time, as long as I don’t do anything that will make the injury worse. It’s a shame that I had to leave the game to go to the chiropractor, because I was winning. I was on the verge of beating my friends for the first time. In my time away from golf, I actually started watching golf and found that it wasn’t as boring as I thought it was before.
As soon as I was able to play again, I challenged my friends to a rematch. I was determined to beat them this time, and if I injured myself again, I wasn’t going to let the pain stop me. My friends had been playing while I was unable to, and normally this would give them an advantage since I was out of practice, but I used my determination and all of what I saw in the golf games that I watched. I finally beat my friends and even got a hole in one.
When my doctor told me he wanted me to consider surgery, I did. I thought about the pros and cons of having surgery, and the cons list was much bigger than the pros. If there was a guarantee that it would be successful, it would not have been an issue at all. However, there was no possible way to promise that it would work. I was tired of the pain though, so I asked my doctor if he thought a Santa Barbara chiropractor would be able to help me with the pain before I gave surgery the green light.
I could tell that he was hesitant to give his approval, but I told him I was really worried about going through with surgery before exhausting all other issues. He finally gave his blessing for it as long as I stayed in constant touch with him too. Continue reading “Choosing Chiropractic Care over Surgery”
I work in retail, and working in retail is not that easy when you are 7 months pregnant. 8 hours a day on your swollen ankles and feet, with the extra weight of a large baby affecting your back legs and feet it’s really rough. I make sure that I go to see a chiropractor in San Diego for some extra help. This keeps me from needing to go see a doctor because the only thing a doctor could do for a person is to give them pain meds or tell them to abstain from all medications when they are pregnant. Since I don’t want to harm my unborn child, I choose to be safe.
My husband and I had been trying to have a baby for over eight years. I went through fertility treatments for the last 3 years, but none of it did any good. My husband was by my side the entire time. He gave me as much emotional support as he could. we never did find out why I was unable to get pregnant for so many years. So we kept trying and had hope. When I finally became pregnant, we were both elated. Continue reading “I Am Looking Forward to the Birth of My Child”
After I had a work injury, my company had the good sense to send me to a chiropractor in Phoenix. I was kind of surprised, frankly. Chiropractors sometimes get a bad rap from the medical profession. I figured my company would send me to the emergency room, pay the bill as required by law, and get me back to work as quickly as possible. Someone in the company is a lot savvier than that. You could so far as to say they actually care about their employees’ physical well being. I’m thankful someone had the foresight.
You see, my injury required treatment coupled with physical therapy after the injury started to heal. It wouldn’t have worked if I’d gone right back to work. Actually, it could have caused a permanent injury if went right back. Continue reading “My Company Knew to Send Me to a Chiropractor”
Think of your back as the trunk of a tree. It supports everything within and without. Your spine is made up of 33 different bones by itself – each bone vulnerable to the pressure and the stresses you’ll be putting through. We live on an average near 72 years. Now imagine 72 years of constant motion. That’s a lot for a back to uphold. It’s incredibly important for everyone to take care of their back as much as possible. If that means you have to visit a chiropractor in Cumming, then do so! There may come a time when our biomedical technology will arrive at a point where we can replace those delicate 33 bones with ease but that’s not now. Continue reading “You Only Have One of Them”
I give full credit to two San Francisco chiropractors for getting me back to work again. One of my coworkers called me and told me that my boss had announced that I had taken entirely too much time off for my alleged back problems, so I knew that I needed to try to figure out what to do. I had long heard that many different types of pain can’t be silenced with different pain bills, but I had never had that happen to me until my back issue. It was so scary to have that happen. It was if I hadn’t taken any medication at all, and I ended up suffering for hours on end. I was sad that my boss didn’t understand, but I also knew that is the way life is sometimes, and I needed to get back to work.
I threw my back out while mowing the lawn. However, I felt the issue coming on for about 5 days prior to it happening on lawn day. I had been waking up each day feeling stiff and sore. I had trouble getting out of bed during each of those days. That is always a sign that it is going to get worse because I have been through this many times in my adult life. But I didn’t heed the warning, and I pushed myself too hard. Sometimes I can keep it from happening in full scale if I take things easy, but I didn’t do that this time.
I found a great place where two chiropractors work. My appointment with one of them went well and I was hopeful that things would get back to normal as a result. The next week, I went back for a second appointment, but needed to see the 2nd chiropractor since the guy I saw first was out on vacation. The 2nd guy was just as good as the first one. I was able to get back to work again after that 2nd visit!
